Attractive, WH (LW o. Heeres) cuff-title (ie. 'Ärmelstreifen') entitled: 'Afrika' (being a period-shortened- and woolen-based example that comes in a clearly issued- and/or worn condition)

This is an attractive - albeit clearly worn- and period-shortened! - example of a WH (Luftwaffe o. Heeres) cuff-title (ie. 'Ärmelstreifen') entitled: 'Afrika' being an example that was clearly issued- and most certainly worn. The cuff-title comes in a typical period-shortened condition (and measures now approximately 32 cms. as more often seen). Both ends are void of any fraying and were clearly 'cut-off' (as can be seen on the pictures). The cuff-title is executed in the (non-typical) 'smooth-type'- and beige-brownish-coloured 'felt-like' wool as is more often encountered. It just shows some minimal age ie. staining caused by decades of storage and handling over the years: it was most certainly once glued into an album or scapbook and does show some minimal carton- ie. glue-remains on its back (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be stated that these 'Afrika'-cuff-titles are not to be regarded as commemorative cuff-titles (such as the 'Afrikakorps' cuff-title) but were regarded as official awards that needed official recognition (and entries in both 'Soldbuch' and/or 'Wehrpass'). This example was recently found at a German private-household and was never before in collectors'-hands. Simply a very attractive and naturally genuine, period example that is priced according to its somewhat shortened condition!
