Attractive, WH (Heeres) related, linnen-based- and/or neatly 'machine-embroidered', beige-white-coloured DRK- (ie. 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz'-) armband (ie. 'Armbinde') as was intended for the staff-members serving as medical orderly
This is an attractive example of a (typical) linnen-based- and/or neatly 'machine-embroidered' WH (Heeres) related, beige-white-coloured DRK- (ie. 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz'-) armband (ie. 'Armbinde') as was intended for usage by the various (military) staff-members of the: 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz' (or: German Red Cross) and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. clearly issued- and/or moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. These neat beige-white-coloured and/or: linnen-based armbands showing the (interwoven) red cross were used by the various (army) staff-members serving as medical orderly. The armband on offer here comes in a full-length condition and measures approximately 38 x 10,5 cms.: it is executed on somewhat 'course-like' linnen (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows some minimal staining ie. dust simply caused by decades of storage and/or moderate wear. This example shows two (bluish-coloured) ink-stamps (ie. 'Dienstsiegel') that have been a bit faded-away during usage and that are impossibe to decypher (as can be seen on the pictures). Nevertheless, an attractive example of a WH (Heeres) related 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz'-armband that is with certainty accordingly priced!
