This is an attractive - and actually not that easily found! - example of an: 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry-assault badge ie. IAB) being a non-converse-shaped, 'hollow-back'-pattern and/or non-maker-marked example as was executed in (greyish-silver-toned) zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') and that was produced by the desirable: 'Wilhelm Deumer'-company and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem issued- and just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. This example has a (typical) rectangular-shaped pin-set-up and typical catch (as only seen on IABs as produced by the 'Wilhelm Deumer'-company) and seems to be totally uncleaned and has still an attractive and/or somewhat 'tarnished' age-patina: some of its period-applied silver finish has been 'faded-away' (ie. 'migriert') over the years (as is more often the case). The pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and present. The piece shows some moderate wear and/or staining but was with certainty never cleaned nor polished. It should be noted that IABs as produced by the 'Wilhelm Deumer'-company are quite difficult to encounter and are not often offered for sale. Simply a nice occasion to acquire a scarcely encountered 'IAB-variant' that was produced by the: 'Wilhelm Deumer'-company as based in the town of Lüdenscheid and that is priced according to its comparative rarity and/or desirability!
