Neat - albeit regrettably single - neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern shoulderboard as was intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant eines Sanitäts-Abts.'
This is a neat - albeit regrettably single - neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern shoulderboard as piped in the darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant eines Sanitäts-Abteilungs' (ie. lieutnant first-class and presumably medical doctor) who served within a: 'Heeres Sanitäts-Abteilung' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn- and/or most certainly once tunic-attached-), condition. The board is just moderately worn and does show some minimal wear, age and/or staining but is void of any (real) damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). The board shows the desirable darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured- and/or woolen-type piping and measures approximately 10 cms. in length as more often. It comes mounted onto its functional (smaller-sized) tongue (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap shows a neat (golden-toned, regular-sized and/or: typical 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: 'Aesculapus'-cypher and single, regular-sized- (and equally-styled) pip period-attached denoting the officers rank of: 'Oberleutnant' (or: lieutnant first-class). This particular shoulderboard originated from a larger cloth- ie. 'cyphered'-shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive, neatly 'cyphered', 'Sanitäter'-related officers'-type shoulderboard: too bad that it is only a single example!
