Superb, commemorative and greyish-silver-coloured, 'DJ'- (ie. 'Deutsches Jungvolk'-) related 'award' being a non-maker marked example, depicting an eagle-device and 'DJ'-rune surrounded by the text: 'Erweiterte Kinderlandverschickung'
The very attractive - and with certainty rarely encountered! - badge (ie. actually award) is executed in silverish-grey-coloured- (and/or I deem typical zinc- ie. 'Feinzink'-) based metal: it shows some minimal wear and/or age (but has I deem hardly been worn nor used). The decorative- (and very detailed!) badge comes mounted onto its functional pin-/catch set-up and has never been cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal age ie. staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The fairly high-quality produced 'award' (ie. more shaped like a membership-badge) is very detailed and retains truly all of its fairly 'shiny'- and/or: minimally tarnished, silverish-grey-coloured finish. The 'tinnie' - which is quite large-sized and has an approximate diameter of 3,8 cms. - depicts a detailed eagle-device and 'DJ'-rune surrounded by the text: 'Erweiterte Kinderlandverschickung (as can be seen on the pictures). This HJ- (ie. Hitlerjugend-) related organisation or: 'Kinderlandverschickung' (or KLV) was established in 1936. The organisation was responsible for sending German youth to the countryside for holidays and much needed rest. While in the country the children would be housed by local farmers and residents. Simply an attractive - and with certainty rarely encountered - 'DJ'- (ie. 'Deutsches Jungvolk'-) related badge (ie. commemorative 'award') that is priced according to its unmistaken rarity and/or desirablity!
