Attractive - and only moderately used! - WH (Heeres) officers'-type, hand-embroidered breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere') as was executed in bright-silverish-coloured braid as was intended for usage on the various officers'-pattern tunics
This is an attractive - and I deem just moderately used and/or carefully tunic-removed! - example of a WH (Heeres) officers'-type, hand-embroidered- (and truly detailed!) army-type breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere des Heeres') being executed in bright-silverish-coloured braid on a darker-green-coloured- and/or 'smooth'-woolen-based background and that comes in an overall nice- (and just moderately used- ie. I deem carefully tunic-removed-), condition. This example - having a length ie. 'wingspan' of approximately 9,6 cms. - is very nicely hand-embroidered using (bright) silverish-coloured 'braid' on a darker-green-coloured (and/or woolen-based-) background and has some 'highlighted areas' as executed in greyish-green-coloured thread (as can be seen on the pictures). The eagle - which is void of a makers'-designation as more often and that does show minimal usage and wear as can be noticed on the pictures - shows a beige-white-coloured- and/or buckram-based 'backing' attached: moreover, does it show some stitching-remains ie. holes (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive example of a WH (Heeres) officers'-type breast-eagle of the 'Extra Qualität' that is accordingly priced!
