Attractive, aluminium-based- and/or: bright-silvered-toned (and maker-marked!) N.S.D.A.P.-related 'tinnie' showing a detailed knight and dragon surrounded by the text: 'Befreiungs Gaufest DRL 1935 - Saarbrücken'
The attractive day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') is executed in bright-silverish-coloured- (ie. molded aluminium-based) metal: it shows some normal wear and/or moderate age but has been truly nicely preserved. The neat oval-shaped badge (measuring only 4,4 x 3,8 cms.) comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- ie. catch(set-up) and has never been cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal age ie. staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The 'tinnie' depicts a detailed knight and dragon (and tiny swastika-device) surrounded by the text: 'Befreiungs Gaufest DRL 1935 - Saarbrücken' (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is truly detailed and retains all of its somewhat darkened and/or: minimally tarnished finish. The piece comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- ie. pin/catch-set-up and shows a clear makers'-designationon its back that reads: 'Johann Schimpf - Pforzheim' (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat - and most certainly not that often seen! - N.S.D.A.P.-related 'tinnie' that is accordingly priced!
