Commemorative - and with certainty scarcely seen! - so-called: 'D.L.V.'- (ie. 'Deutsches Luftsport Verbandes'-) related 'tinnie' depicting the typical: D.L.V.'-logo and detailed illustration of a youngster launching a model glider-plane
The neat - and typical 'shield-shaped'! - day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') is executed in silver-toned- and (I deem) zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based metal (ie. pot-metal) is strangely totally void of any text and depicts on its top a pronounced: D.L.V.'-logo and detailed illustration of a youngster launching a model glider-plane and that comes in an overall wonderful- and (I deem) hardly or even never worn- nor used, condition. The almost certain pre-war-period piece was most likely intended for (ie. awarded during) a: 'D.L.V.'- (ie. 'Deutsches Luftsport Verbandes'-) related contest or rally (ie. 'Modell-Wettbewerb') or alike. This with certainty unusually seen day-badge - that truly shows hardly any wear nor age - comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin (ie. catch-) set-up and has most certainly never been cleaned nor polished (as can be seen on the pictures) and is very detailed and/or pronounced. It originates from a private-houshold in Germany where it was recently uncovered. I am convinced that this is a truly unusally encountered so-called: 'D.L.V.'- (ie. 'Deutsches Luftsport Verbandes'-) related 'tinnie' that is without doubt accordingly priced!
