Attractive - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard as (dual)piped in the white-coloured branchcolour as was intended for a: 'Leutnant der Reserve des Infanterie-Regiments 37'
The attractive - albeit regrettably single - WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboard is (dual)piped in the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and has the typical dove-grey-coloured 'underlay' and was intended for - and/or with certainty worn by! - a: 'Leutnant der Reserve des Infanterie-Regiments 37' (or: reserve-lieutnant who served within the 'Infanterie'- (ie. infantry-) regiment numbered: '37') and comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used-, worn- and/or: carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboard is a 'text-book'-example of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Infanterie'-shoulderboard and shows the silver-coloured (ie. somewhat 'shiny'-pattern) 'upperdeck' (as can be noticed on the pictures). The board show the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and has the typical dove-grey-coloured 'underlay' (and was constructed from the typical 'smooth'-type wool as to be expected). The board never had a tongue attached and was clearly used as a board of the 'sew-in-'type (as can be seen on the pictures). It measures approximately 11 cms. in length and was most certainly issued- and/or worn as such and does show some moderate age, wear and/or staining as to be expected. The board has a pair of (neatly bright-golden-toned, larger-sized- and/or early-pattern) '3'- and/or '7'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') period-attached. Both devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (and/or quite shiny!) age-patina. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this pair came with a (silverish-coloured) so-called: 'screw-on'-button (ie. 'Schraubknopf') attached. Simply an attractive shoulderboard that belonged to a: 'Leutnant der Reserve des Infanterie-Regiments 37'!
