Larger-sized, TR-period, bright-golden-toned commemorative-plaque (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. Auszeichnungsmedaille') showing the text: 'Dem Altmeister Johann Birkmann 1935 - Handwerkskammer für Mittelfranken'
This is an attractive - and with certainty not that often-seen ie. possibly unique! - (very bright) golden-toned- (and I deem 'Buntmetall'-based) TR-period commemorative-plaque or portable medal (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. Auszeichnungsmedaille') showing a detailed illustration of two craftsmen and on its back depicting a swastika-device and the (superimposed!) text that reads: 'Dem Altmeister Johann Birkmann 1935 - für langjährige treue Dienste von d. Handwerkskammer für Mittelfranken - Ehret das Handwerk' and that comes as stored for decades and that comes in an overall wonderful and truly nicely preserved, condition. The neat - larger-sized- and/or regular-weight-piece (having an approximate diameter of 5,5 cms.!) has truly pronounced detail and was never cleaned nor polished: it has maintained a neat typical, golden-toned and 'frosted' age-patina (but also shows some minimal tarnish as can be seen on the pictures). The back of the medal shows a superimposed text (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece came as issued and/or stored for decades. These attractive - I deem - semi-official - presentation-pieces were presumably used as some sort of loyal-service awards and were (apparently) handed-out annualy by bodies such as the chamber of commerce (like here the: 'Handelskammer Mittelfranken'). In order to better estimate the medals'-size did I photograph this piece next to a regular-sized party-badge ie. 'Parteiabzeichen': this comes NOT with the medal and is just depicted to better estimate the size of the medal on offer. Simply an attractive - and with certainty unusually encountered! - TR-period, loyal-service-related medal ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. Auszeichnungsmedaille' that might merit some further investigative work!
