This is a neat - and actually unusually seen! - zinc-based RAD- (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst'-) related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the clearly stamped text ie. unit-designation that reads: 'RAD/2/286/2 549' (and as such being a disc that was I deem used by an RAD-staffmember who served within the second company of a RAD-unit that was stationed within the 286th district ie. 'Bezirk') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The disc - which is executed in a fine letter-type - shows only moderate age and/or staining but was most certainly cleaned nor polished (some dirt ie. normal aging is visible but nothing shocking though). It was clearly used and worn and does show somewhat 'torn-out' holes (as can be noticed on the pictures). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this example shows the name and (service?)number of the recipient (a certain: 'Eichenmüller') roughly stamped onto its back (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat and interesting, zinc-based RAD- (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst'-) related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') that is accordingly priced!
