Superb - and actually scarely seen! - 'Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen' (or: General Assault Badge ie. GAB) being a non-maker-marked, typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink') 'cut-out swastika'-variant as was produced by the: 'Gebr. Wegerhoff'-company
This attractive and not that easily found example - being as stated above a non-maker-marked, silverish-grey-toned- and/or typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based 'Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen' (or: General Assault Badge ie. GAB) - has maintained an attractive age-patina and comes naturally mounted onto its fully functional (thin-shaped- and/or silver-toned) pin (which comes mounted onto its typical 'GWL'-type catch as seen with pieces by this particular maker). The piece is quite detailed and pronounced: it has, however, clearly been used and/or worn as such and does show some obvious age, wear and/or staining but was - I deem - never cleaned nor polished (it still retains a somewhat 'tarnished' finish as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - that retains a fair bit of its bright silver-toned finish - shows great pronounced detail as to be expected. The piece is a typical (non-magnetic) 'cut-out swastika'-variant that was produced by - and can be attributed to - the: 'Gebr. Wegerhoff'-company as based in the town of Lüdenscheid. Simply an attractive - and actually scarely seen! - example of this by GWL based 'cut-out swastika'-variant that is - I deem - priced according to its obvious scarcity and desirability!
