Attractive - albeit regrettably single! - (I deem) early-war-period- (ie. This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - (I deem) early-war-period- (ie. 'M40 type'- and/or rounded-styled) neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as piped in the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Artillerie-Regiments 26' (or: simply soldier who served within the artillery-regiment, numbered: '26') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat strap - which is of the early-war-type - just shows some moderate age and wear but is void of any real damage or alike: it has the darker-green-coloured- and/or woolen-based 'upperdeck' and does show as stated above the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour and/or woolen-type piping attached (as more often seen). The shoulderstrap never had a tongue attached and is a strap that was used as a piece of the 'sew-in'-pattern. The strap - which measures approximately 12,5 cms. in length - shows the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'-) so-called: '2'- and/or: '6'-cyphers ie. numerals (which are executed in the bright-red- ie. 'hochroter'-coloured wool as to be expected as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was once glued into an album of scrapbook and does show some minimal glue-remains on it back. Simply a neat and/or fully 'text-book' and actually not that often encountered! - 'Heeres'-type, 'cyphered' shoulderstrap that belonged to a: 'Soldat des Artillerie-Regiments 26': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
