Attractive, 4-pieced-, WWI- (ie. TR-) period, medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange'), resp. depicting an: 'EK II. Kl.', a: 'Baden Verdienstmedaille', a: 'FKK' and a: 'Pol.DA 1. St.' (that comes with 2 accompanying 'Band-/Feldspangen'!)
This is a truly attractive 4-pieced-, WWI- (ie. TR- and/or: Polizei-related-) period-, medal-bar (ie. 'Spange'), respectively depicting a: WWI-period: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron cross second-class), a: 'Baden Verdienstmedaille' (or: Baden Merit Medal), a: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwerter') and a golden-class- and/or WWII-period: 'Polizei-Dienstauszeichnung 1. Stufe' (or: police loyal-service medal first class as was awarded for 25 years of loyal-service) that comes with two accompanying 'Band-/Feldspangen' as issued and/or carefully kept for decades, all four (ie. six!) pieces coming in an overall very nice (albeit minimally used- ie. worn-), condition. The 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' is a nicely preserved example that retains a (fully present- ie. undamaged-) black-coloured core. The silver-based frame is just a bit tarnished and does show a bluish-like age-patina (as is more often encountered). The 'Baden Verdienstmedaille' is a neat zinc- (ie. Feinzink-) based example that has lost some of its period-finish (as more often). The 'Frontkämpferkreuz' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz mit Schwerter') is a nicely preserved- (and/or: '39 - RV - Pforzheim'-marked-) example that is executed in (reddish-) bronze-coloured-, zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based metal. It retains most of its somewhat darkened-, bronze-toned finish (see pictures). The 'Polizei-Dienstauszeichnung 1. Stufe' (or: police loyal-service medal first class as was awarded for 25 years of loyal-service) is a very nicely preserved example that truly retains gorgeous details: it still shows most of its 'off-factory' polished-sides (ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten'). The medal is a tiny bit tarnished but retains a great age-patina overall (it has most certainly never been cleaned nor polished). It comes naturally mounted on its darker-blue (ie. 'kornblumenblauer'-) coloured ribbon that shows a neatly interwoven- (and/or: golden-yellow-coloured-) police-eagle-device as to be expected. All four awards have a nicely preserved age-patina and are just a tiny bit dirty: they were - I deem - never cleaned nor polished ( as can be seen on the pictures). All four medals come mounted onto a metal-based 'bar' (that was specifically produced to hold these four medals): all four can be detached from the bar (as can be seen on the pictures). The 'Spange' is nicely backed with a piece of darker-green-coloured wool and shows a (regular-type-) pin-/catch- set-up (which if of course fully functional). It came (as stated above) with two accompanying 'Feld- o. Bandspangen' (of which one is of the 'regular'-model whereas the other is intended for a 'button-hole'). Both pieces show a neat (golden-toned) police-eagle-device and are of course fully functional. The entire 'Spange'-set originates from a private household and was never before in collectors'-hands. Simply a very attractive example of a four- (ie. six-) pieced WWI- ie. 'Polizei'-related 'Ordenspange'-set that will be hard to be upgraded!
