This is an attractive example of the (WWII-period!) Romanian medal: 'Orden der Krone von Rumänien 2. Modell (1932-1944) mit Krone und Schwertern 5. Klasse' (or in Romanian language: 'Medalia - Coroana Romaniei - Cavaler') being a nicely preserved and multi-coloured enamelled- (ie. silver- ie. golden-toned) example that comes mounted onto its period- (and neatly pre-folded) ribbon (ie. Bandabschnitt) and that comes stored in its period etui as issued, minimally worn and/or stored for decades. These attractive WWII-period, Romanian 'Order of the Crown-awards' are sometimes found among German medal-groups since it was liberally bestowed on Romania's allies during WWII. The neat example on offer here is a truly very detailed example that has a neat, albeit minimally tarnished, age-patina. It just shows two (very tiny) enamel-damaged areas on its back as more often (as can be seen on the pictures) and comes naturally mounted onto its original (specifically folded- ie. neatly pre-confectioned-) ribbon as issued and with certainty worn. The award came stored in its period (leather-like- and/or darker-blue-coloured) etui that comes in an equally nicely preserved condition. This etui shows on its top the golden-toned and nicely impressed 'crown-and MI-logo' and text: 'Coroana Romaniei - Cavaler' (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat and very decorative award that was awarded by one of Germany's WWII-allies and that originates from a German private-household and that was with certainty awarded to a German NCO or officer: hard to find a nicer preserved example for a more interesting price!
