Interesting, D.D.A.C.-related, commemorative plaque (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Auszeichnungsplakette') showing an illustration of a sportsman and on its back the text: 'II. Preis Dreikampf Männer 1938' and that comes stored in its period etui
This is an attractive - and with certainty not that often- ie. most certainly scarcely encountered! - 'frosted' silver-toned- (and I deem 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: D.D.A.C.- (ie. 'Der Deutsche Automobil Club'-) related commemorative-plaque (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Auszeichnungsplakette') showing a detailed and pronounced illustration of a sportsman and on its back the text: 'DDAC-Betriebsausflug 1938 - II. Preis Dreikampf Männer - Klasse 3 - Bad Wiessee' and that comes stored in its period (and truly luxuriously-styled- and clearly maker-marked!) etui as issued and stored for decades and that comes in an overall wonderful and truly nicely preserved, condition. The neat - medium-sized- and/or regular-weight-piece (having an approximate diameter of 5,0 cms.) has truly pronounced detail and was never cleaned nor polished: it has maintained a neat typical, silver-toned (and truly 'frosted'!) age-patina (and is void of any tarnish as can be seen on the pictures). The back of the medal shows the engraved text that reads: 'DDAC-Betriebsausflug 1938 - II. Preis Dreikampf Männer - Klasse 3 - Bad Wiessee' (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece came stored in its period, brownish-coloured- and/or luxuriously-styled etui ie. box as issued and stored for decades. This etui comes in an equally very nicely preserved condition and shows on its top an impressed and golden-toned D.D.A.C.-logo (with swastika as can be seen on the pictures). On its back the etui shows a black-inked makers'-designation that reads: 'Gebr. Hemmerle - München - Maximilanstr.' (next to this it shows a small etiket that reads: 'Seider' most likely being the recipient). These attractive - semi-official - D.D.A.C.-presentation-pieces were presumably used as some sort of awards as (presumably) awarded during a specific D.D.A.C.-related sports'-tour held in the year 1938. Simply a very attractive and with certainty unusually encountered D.D.A.C.-table-medal ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Auszeichnungsplakette' that might merit some further investigative work!
