Attractive, WH (Kriegsmarine) 'Blockadebrecher-Kriegsabzeichen' being a maker- (ie. 'Fec. Otto Placzek Berlin - Ausf. Schwerin - Berlin'-) marked example as was executed in multi-coloured zinc (ie. 'Feinzink')
The attractive - and I deem later-war-period-produced - naval war-badge (ie.: 'Blockadebrecher-Kriegsabzeichen' or: blocade-runner war-badge) comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- and/or worn-), condition and comes as recently found. It truly retains great pronounced detail and retains a fair bit its 'off-factory' greyish-bluish-coloured finish and retains details as executed in silverish-coloured finish (as can be seen on the pictures): the piece was never cleaned nor polished and still shows some obvious age, wear and/or staining (simply caused by having been moderately worn). The regular-sized badge (which is of the typical zinc-based, 'flat-back'-pattern-) shows a clearly present, super-imposed makers'-designation on its back (that reads: 'Fec. Otto Placzek Berlin - Ausf. Schwerin - Berlin') as is more often the case. The regular-sized award comes naturally mounted onto its (fully functional- and unaltered) (typical) pin- and/or pin/catch set-up as to be expected. I deem that this attractive - and moderately used- and/or worn! - 'Blockadebrecher-Kriegsabzeichen' is accordingly priced!
