  1. Wound Badges

The very attractive - and I deem issued albeit never worn! - black-class WB on offer here does simply show no wear nor aging and truly retains all of its original, black-coloured- and/or somewhat 'shiny' finish: it was presumably issued but never worn and was stored as such over the years. The badge is as stated neatly maker-marked with the super-imposed makers'-designation: 'L/14' as is clearly visible on the back of the badge (as can be seen on the pictures) signifying that it deals with a piece that was produced by the Austrian: 'Friedrich Orth'-company that was based in the town of Wien (ie. Vienna). Of course, are the (regular- ie. thin-shaped-) pin and/or (typical) catch (-set-up) fully functional and of course present. This piece has - I deem - never been cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal dust and/or staining as to be expected (it does show some white-coloured residue on the pin and catch set-up something that was caused by the used welding-product as more often. Simply a very attractive - and neatly maker-marked! - black-class WB that is missing in most collections and that is priced according to its obvious scarcity and/or desirability!
