WH (Heeres) officers'-type, hand-embroidered breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere') as was executed in bright-silverish-coloured braid on a darker-green-coloured background as was intended for usage on the various officers'-pattern tunics
This is an attractive - and with certainty moderately used ie. once tunic-attached! - example of a WH (Heeres) officers'-type, hand-embroidered- (and truly detailed!) breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere') being executed in silverish-grey-coloured braid on a darker-green-coloured- and/or smooth-woolen-based background and that comes in an overall nice- and/or carefully tunic-removed, condition. This example - having a length ie. 'wingspan' of approximately 9,2 cms. - is nicely hand-embroidered using (somewhat tarnished) silverish-grey-coloured 'braid' on a darker-green-coloured (and/or woolen-based-) background and has some 'highlighted areas' as executed in darker-green-coloured thread (as can be seen on the pictures). The eagle - which is void of a makers'-designation as more often and that does show some usage and wear as can be noticed on the pictures - was clearly once-tunic-attached: it is void of an additional 'backing' (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat - and truly used- and tunic-removed! - example of a WH (Heeres) officers'-type breast-eagle that is with certainty accordingly priced!
