Superb, 'BeVo'-type armshield (of the rarely encountered first pattern!) entitled: 'Biz Alla Bilen - Turkistan' (being a piece that was intended for a volunteer who served within the: 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' ie. within the: 'Turkistanisches Legion')
This particular colourful volunteer-armshield - being of the rarely encountered first pattern! - shows a mosq-symbol with above the Arabic text: 'Biz Alla Bilen' and is neatly woven in the so-called: 'BeVo'-weave technique: it comes in a 'virtually mint- ie. unissued condition' and comes as carefully 'cut-off the role' (as can be seen on the pictures). This example is truly one of the rarer 'BeVo'-type arm-shields to encounter and only one of the few such examples I ever had on offer. The shield on offer comes in a truly wonderfull condition and is very different from the many copies that are regrettably in existance today. This rare first pattern 'Turkistanian' armshield (as was introduced in 1942) saw only limited usage and was quite soon replaced by a second pattern in 1943. These - original - 'official' arm-shields of the first pattern as executed in 'BeVo'-type weave (ie. German manufacture by the company of 'BeVo'!) can be easily considered 'rare': simply a wonderful example that will be impossible to be upgraded!
