Attractive, steel-based-, WH (Heeres-) ie. 'Panzer-Grenadiere o. Infanterie'-related ID-disc bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation: 'Stamm.Komp.Pz.Gren.Ers.Batl. 215' and that comes as issued- and/or recently found
This is an attractive example of a typical steel-based (and somewhat rust-stained), later-war-period WH (Heeres-) ie. 'Panzer-Grenadiere o. Infanterie'-related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') that is bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'Stamm.Komp.Pz.Gren.Ers.Batl. 215' (and as such being a disc that was I deem intended for a soldier or NCO who served within the: 'Stamm-Kompanie des Panzer-Grenadier-Ersatz-Bataillons 215' ie.: root-company of the grenadier replacement battalion numbered: '215') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition. The attractive disc comes in an overall nice condition (and is executed in an attractive letter-type!) and shows the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn (it shows somewhat torn-out holes and is minimally rust-stained but never cleaned as can be seen on the pictures). The disc also shows the bearers'-blood-group-type (Type '0') as is clearly (dual)stamped onto its front. The disc was never cleaned nor polished (it is still a bit stained and/or dirty). The disc originates from a larger ID-disc collection that was compiled over many years. Simply an attractive and honest WH (Heeres-) ie. 'Panzer-Grenadiere o. Infanterie'-related ID-disc that is with certainty accordingly priced!
