Single, later-war-period-, so-called: 'M44'-pattern, simplified WH (Heeres) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as piped in the black-coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat der Pionier-Truppen'
This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - later-war-period, so-called: 'M44'-pattern- and simplified WH (Heeres) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as was piped in the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat der Pionier-Truppen' (or: simple soldier who served within the army engineer-troops) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which measures approximately 11,8 cms. in length as more often seen - has the neat 'silk-like'-type piping attached (as is more encountered with these later-war-period shoulderstraps). The shoulderstrap - which originates from a larger cloth- and insignia-collection I recently acquired - is constructed following the typical '1944 cloth-minimising production-manner', using different shades of wool and/or material (see pictures). The strap comes naturally mounted on its functional tongue. It should be noted that all 'M44'-pattern-, EM-type straps are actually quite hard to find and can easily be graded 'scarce': even more so when they are piped in the desirable, black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour. Simply an attractive - and/or fully 'text-book'-, M44-pattern EM-type 'Pioniere'-shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat der Pionier-Truppen'!
