This is a very decorative - and truly pronounced! - WH (Lufwaffe) so-called: 'nichttragbarer Ehrenschild des 1. Form' entitled: “Für Besondere Leistung im Luftgau Norwegen” being a serial-numbered example (showing the unique numeral '7819' on its back) and that came stored in its accompanying, period carton-based box as awarded and/or stored for decades. Both black-coloured- (and/or molded metal- ie. 'Eisenguss'-based) 'Ehrenschild' and (scarcely seen!) carton-based, 2-pieced box come both in an overall very nice - and/or fully undamaged- ie. 'virtually mint', condition. The pronounced and detailed piece - which shows a typical LW-eagle-device and text as mentioned above - is medium-sized (and measures 15 x 11 cms.). The plaque or shield (which shows extraordinary detail and has a great age-patina) shows a clearly present (ie. engraved) serial-number and Oslo-based makers'-mark on its back and retains its period hanging-device (as can be seen on the pictures). The shield retains a truly superb appearance: this is also valid for the carton-box (which is void of an imprinted text or logo but that shows the pencilled serial-number '7819' on its top (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive WH-Luftwaffe-related award: just the first such neat and with certainty not that often seen placque or: 'nichttragbarer Ehrenschild 1. Form “Für Besondere Leistung im Luftgau Norwegen I ever had on offer!
