Two-pieced medal-bar (ie. 'Doppelspange') respectively depicting a WWI-period: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz mit Schwerter') and a detailed: 'Polizei-Dienstauszeichnung 2. Stufe'
This is an attractive - and in this uncommonly found combination not that often seen! - two-pieced medal-bar (ie. 'Doppelspange') respectively depicting a WWI-period: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz mit Schwerter') and a neatly silvered: 'Polizei-Dienstauszeichnung 2. Stufe' (or police loyal-service medal second class as was awarded for 18 years of loyal service within the various police-services) both pieces coming in an overall very nice- (albeit minimally used- ie. worn-), condition. Both awards are truly golden-bronze- (ie. silver-) coloured and 'fairly frosted' examples that are just minimally tarnished by age and/or moderate usage and wear (as can be seen on the pictures) but are void of any damage or alike. Both pieces come naturally mounted on their period ribbons and have a nicely preserved age-patina and are just a tiny bit dirty: they were IMO never cleaned nor polished (see pictures). The entire 'Spange' is nicely 'backed' with a piece of greenish-coloured wool and shows a (regular-type- and functional) pin- ie. catch-set-up (as can be seen on the pictures). The 'Spange' shows a (seperately attached) 'bar' showing the neatly interwoven 'Polizei'-eagle-device (done in silverish-white linnen). Of interest is, moreover, also the fact that the 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18' is a nicely maker- (ie. 'L.NBG'-marked-) example. Simply an attractive example of a two-pieced 'Polizei'-related 'Ordenspange' in an uncommonly found combination that will hard to be upgraded!
