Linnen-based- and/or partly machine-woven-, darker-blue-coloured armband (ie. 'Armbinde') depicting a capital 'M'-character, as was presumably intended for staff-members of the German RLB (ie. 'Reichsluftschutz-Bund')
I recently uncovered two (fully identical) examples of the linnen-based- and/or partly machine-woven-, darker- (ie. bright-blue-) coloured armbands (ie. 'Armbinden') each depicting a capital 'M'-character, as presumably intended for staff-members serving within the German RLB (ie. 'Reichsluftschutz-Bund') and that both come in an overall very nice- (IMO issued- but hardly worn-), condition. These neat linnen-based armbands were (presumably) used by the various (civil- and/or military-) staff-members of the German air-raid-warden service (ie. 'RLB') and signified: 'Melde-Dienst' (ie. messenger-service). Both armbands on offer here measure each approximately 37 x 9,5 cms. and are executed in typical linnen (showing a nicely machine-embroidered 'M'-character-sign (as can be seen on the pictures). The armbands show some minimal staining ie. dust simply caused by moderate wear and/or decades of storage (as can be seen on the pictures). My asking-price is naturally intended for a single example. Simply a nice occasion to acquire an interesting RLB- (ie. 'Reichsluftschutz-Bund'-) related armband for an IMO interesting price!
