WH (Heeres) 'tropical'-issue, trade- and/or special career-insignia (or machine-embroidered speciality arm-patch) as was intended for usage by a: 'Waffenmeister' (or weapon-equipment NCO)
This is an attractive special-career army (ie. WH-Heeres) arm-insignia (or: 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen') as was intended for usage by a: 'Waffenmeister' (or weapon-equipment NCO) and that comes in an overall very nice- (IMO never worn- nor tunic-attached-), condition. The neat patch is executed in golden-yellow-coloured linnen on a (typical) brownish-yellow- (ie. tan-) coloured and/or: linnen-based background and shows two (detailed and/or neatly machine-embroidered-) 'crossed rifles' (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is not maker-marked and shows some minimal staining (IMO simply caused by years of storage only). This example is not 'backed' but shows a linnen-based, reinforced border as is more often encountered. Simply a nice occasion to acquire a neat 'tropical'-issue- ie. DAK- (or 'Deutsches Afrikakorps'-) related 'Waffenmeister' (or weapon-equipment NCO) speciality-patch!
