This is an attractive - fully matching and actually scarcely encountered! - pair of later-war-period-, so-called: 'M44'-pattern-, simplified WH (Heeres) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstraps, as was piped in the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour, as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat der (Sturm)Artillerie-Truppen' (or: simple soldier who served within the artillery-troops) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstraps - which measure approximately 11 cms. in length each as more often seen - have the neat, 'silk-like'-type piping attached (as is more encountered with these later-war-period shoulderstraps). The shoulderstraps - which originate from a larger cloth- and insignia-collection I recently acquired - are constructed following the typical '1944 cloth-minimising production-manner', using different shades of wool and/or material (see pictures). The straps come naturally mounted on their functional tongues. It should be noted that all 'M44'-pattern-, EM-type straps are actually quite hard to find and can easily be graded 'scarce': even more so when they are piped in the desirable, bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour. Of additional interest is, moreover, that both straps show a blue-coloured ink-stamped 'RbN.'-number on the inside of the tongues (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive - and/or fully 'text-book'-, M44-pattern EM-type 'Artillerie'-pair that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat der (Sturm)Artillerie-Truppen'!
