Neat, WH (Heeres) trade- and/or special-career insignia, being a detailed- and/or neatly hand-embroidered example as executed on darker-green-coloured wool, as was intended for a: 'Steuermann' (ie. enigineer-boat-pilot or helmsman)
This is an attractive example of a WH (Heeres) trade- and/or special-career insignia, being a very detailed- and/or neatly hand-embroidered example as executed on darker-green-coloured wool, as was intended for usage by a: 'Steuermann' (ie. enigineer-boat-pilot or helmsman) being an example that comes in an overall very nice (IMO minimally used- and/or once tunic-attached-), condition. The patch is beautifully executed in very shiny, silverish-coloured braid and is a superb example of the employed craftmenship of the days (see pictures). It is moreover nicely 'backed' with greyish-coloured linnen that shows an ink-stamped makers'-designation that reads: 'S.t.' (as can be seen on the pictures). The badge shows some minimal age ie. staining simply caused by minimal wear and/or decades of storage. This is actually a scarcely encountered 'Pioniere'- (ie. engineers-) related patch, that is IMO very much underestimated by the collectors'-community. Simply an attractive example of this desirable 'Sturm-Pioniere'-related arm-patch!
