Neat example of a lapel-pin (or so-called: 'Traditions-/Erinnerungsabzeichen') as used by members within the: '291. Infanterie-Division, being a neatly maker- (ie. 'H. Schmidt - Lüdensheid'-) marked example
This is a neat example of a lapel-pin (or so-called: 'Traditions-/Erinnerungsabzeichen') as was used by the various members within the: '291. Infanterie-Division' of the 'Deutsche Wehrmacht', in an overall nice, albeit moderately used and/or worn, condition. The partly black-enamelled pin - depicting a black-coloured 'elk-horn' on a silverish coloured background - is constructed from silvered metal: it is a tiny bit dirty but retains a nice age-patina (most of its silverish finish is however present: it was just used and/or worn but was IMO never polished). The maker- (ie. 'H. Schmidt - Lüdensheid'-) marked pin, comes mounted on its functional long-sized pin and shows as stated above some regular wear and/or minimal tarnish (but was IMO never cleaned nor polished). These 'semi-official' pins were worn on both uniform, cap and/or civil attire. A nice and desirable 'Infanterie' item for a member within the: '291. Infanterie-Division': I deem that I have priced this nice little item accordingly!
