Attractive - and/or fully matching! - pair of early- (ie. pre-) war-period- ie. 'M36'/'M40'-pattern, WH (Heeres), NCO-type shoulderstraps as were intended for an: 'Unteroffizier eines Kavallerie- o. Aufklärungs-Abteilungs'
This is a very attractive - and as such actually scarcely encountered! - fully matching pair of (I deem) early-ie. pre-war-period- ie. 'M36'- (ie. M40-) pattern (rounded-style), WH (Heeres) ie. 'Kavallerie'-related, NCO-type shoulderstraps as piped in the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour as were intended for - and most certainly worn by! - an: 'Unteroffizier eines Aufklärungs-Abteilungs' (or junior-sergeant who served within a cavalry-related, reconnaissance unit ie. regiment) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The neat shoulderstraps - which each measure approximately 10 cms. in length - come naturally mounted onto their original tongues (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair was moderately used ie. worn and comes as found and/or stored for decades and is a bit dirty and/or stained and shows the obvious signs of having been moderately worn. The shoulderstraps - which show the neat and desirable, golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured and/or 'silk-like'-type piping - have the silverish- (ie. somewhat golden-) coloured NCO-braid attached denoting that the NCO who wore these straps held the rank of: 'Unteroffizier'. Taking into account that this pair was entirely constructed of 'smooth-type' ie. 'boiled' wool I deem this a so-called privately-purchased pair. Nevertheless a very attractive pair of early- (ie. pre-) war-period so-called: 'M36-/M40-pattern'-shoulderstraps as were intended for - and worn by! - an: 'Unteroffizier eines Kavallerie- o. Aufklärungs-Abteilungs'!
