This is an attractive example of the - actually scarcely encountered! - WH instruction-booklet, entitled: 'Das Gewehr 98 und seine Handhabung' (or: instruction-/training-manual for the standard-type K98 rifle) and that comes in an overall nice- (and only moderately used ie. read-), condition. The smaller-sized booklet - only sized: 15 x 10,5 cms. - is fully complete and retains all its 46 pages - containing various (ie. 33) illustrations and the 'glued-in' and the to be folded out leaflet(!) - and is just somewhat yellowed caused by normal age ie. storage. As possibly known, has this booklet also been reproduced: this is naturally a fine original and/or period example. The booklet provides the reader with text and illustrations with a complete insight 'on properly using the standard WH rifle (or K98) and all its accesoiries' (including the various types of ammunition, cleaning-kit and/or bayonet, something that was of course deemed needed within the German army). These sought-after publications - as published by the 'Heinz Denckler Verlag' based in Berlin - were not 'standard-issue' but had to be privately acquired by the soldiers ie. NCO's and officers. Simply a nice and scarcely encountered publication that is accordingly priced. Simply a great addition to any field-gear/mannequin set-up or manual-collection!
