This is neat - and most certainly not often seen! - WH (Heer) period book entitled: 'Flammenwerfer vor! - Ein Frontbuch' by Franz Franziss, being a 1941-dated issue that has a neat caligraphed 'Luftwaffe' (ie. 'Nachtjäger'-related!) dedication included that reads: 'Zur Erinnerung an die Kriegsweihnacht 1942 bei der 6./N.J.Sch.1 - Für besondere Leistung - Lager Lechfeld, 20-12-1942' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. read-) condition. This book - having a reddish-orange coloured (hard-bound) cover and that is sized: 20 x 13 x 4 cms. - provides the reader with a front-story on a flame-thrower (ie. 'Flammenwerfer'-) unit, as compiled by a writer named Franz Franziss. The (hard-cover) book - having over 294 pages with only text - comes in a decent condition overall: it shows obvious wear and age but is complete and fully functional (some minimal staining and/or usage-marks are present and visble, especially on the cover). Of additional interest is naturally the fact that this example was given as a Christmas-present by an (regrettably unidentified!) 'Hauptmann u. Staffelkapitän' - who most certainly served within the unit 6./N.J.Sch.1 based at the famous air-base Lager Lechfeld in Bavaria - to one of his soldiers ie. NCO’s (or students): it shows a neat and clear dedication that clearly reads: 'Zur Erinnerung an die Kriegsweihnacht 1942 bei der 6./N.J.Sch.1 - Für besondere Leistung - LagerLechfeld, 20-12-1942'. It is also nicely signed by this officer. I deem that this 'Hauptmann u. Staffelkapitän' can most certainly be further identified if deemed neccesary. Simply a nice and certainly unusual 'Luftwaffe' (ie. 'Nachtjäger'- ie. night-fighters related-!) dedicated book which is I deem accordingly priced!
