This is an interesting - and most certainly scarcely encountered! - WH (Kriegsmarine) instruction-manual entitled: 'Betriebsordnung für den Kaiser-Wilhelm-(Nord-Ostsee-) Kanal' and sub-titled: '...mit Grieselaukanal, Obereidersee nebst Enge und Achterwehrer Schifffahrtskanal nebst Anlagen' and that comes with various additions (ie. maps) and that is dated: '5-1939' and that is bearing the number: 'Reichskanalamt - Nr.13 - Din 476 A6' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit used ie. issued-), condition. The hard-cover bound booklet (only sized: 14,5 x 10,5 cms.) holds 191 pages full of interesting and/or topic-related information (such a a glued in map and/or overviews on used flags and/or signs) regarding the aforementioned canal and/or surroundings. These specialised naval-manuals were most certainly used by the pilots (ie. 'Lodse') that served within the German navy. The booklet - which shows a neat naval-style eagle on its front-page - comes in an overall very nice and fully complete condition and comes as stated with various (loose) additions (ie. 'Ergänzungen') that were published during the war. Simply an awesome naval reference-work and only the first such neat and unusual item I ever had on offer!
