This is a truly attractive - not that easily found and I deem simply never used- nor tunic-attached! - example of a WH (Heeres o. Luftwaffe) 'Armwinkel' (ie. arm-chevron) as executed onto typical beige-white-coloured linnen (ie. HBT-type-cloth) as was specifically intended for usage by a soldier with the - unusually encountered! - rank of an: 'Gefreiter mit mehr als 6 Dienstjahren' (ie. senior-private having more than 6 service-years) and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem still 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The chevron is neatly executed and shows a detailed, machine-embroidered- (and silverish-grey-coloured- and/or linnen-based) 'star' whereunder a single-stripe of bluish-coloured- (ie. dotted-pattern and/or 'sub-dued') and/or 'standard'-pattern NCO-braid can be observed. The patch was recently found at a private-household in Germany. The piece shows an addtional 'backing' as is more often observed (as can be seen on the pictures). It sounds maybe strange but these 'simple' Heeres- (ie. Luftwaffe-) related rank-insignia are quite hard to encounter. Simply a very attractive - and actually unsually found! - WH-rank-badge that is I deem accordingly priced!
